Can Arcade Machines Be Branded for Corporate Events?

How Does Arcade Machine Branding Actually Work?

Yes. And it makes a bigger difference to how your event looks and feels than most people expect before they see it done properly.

A custom-branded arcade machine isn’t just a machine with your logo stuck on the side. Done right, every surface — the side panels, the header, the marquee, the control panel overlay — is designed and printed to your brand assets. The result looks like it was built for the event, not hired for it.

We’re Corporate Arcade Hire — Melbourne’s only corporate-first arcade hire specialist, with a dedicated in-house print team to match. Branding isn’t something we outsource or bolt on. It’s central to what we do, and it’s handled entirely in-house from brief through to the day of the event.

The process is straightforward, but the details matter — especially when it’s going on a machine that’s going to be the focal point of your event.

Step 1 — Brief and Artwork

It starts with your brand assets: logo files, colour values, campaign artwork, any specific imagery you want incorporated. If you have a brand guide, share it. If you have a product or campaign visual you want the machine to reflect, share that too.

Our print team works from what you provide and builds out the full machine wrap design — scaled correctly to each panel, proofed for colour accuracy, and sent back to you for sign-off before anything goes to print.

Step 2 — In-House Production

This is where the in-house print team makes a genuine difference. The wrap is designed, produced, and quality-checked under the same roof — by the same team that will install it on the day. There’s no handoff to a third-party print supplier, no version-control risk between what you approved and what arrives, and no separate production timeline running outside the hire schedule.

What you signed off on is what gets printed. What gets printed is what goes on the machine. No surprises.

Step 3 — Installation at Your Venue

The branded panels are installed as part of the standard setup process on the day of your event. You see the finished machine in context — in your venue, under your event lighting — not in a warehouse photo. If anything needs a final adjustment at that point, we’re there to handle it.

Why does all of this matter? When branding is outsourced, you’re managing two separate suppliers with two separate timelines and two separate points where something can go wrong. Because everything is in-house here, there’s one point of contact from the first conversation to pack-down. That’s not just more convenient — it means the machine that turns up on the day actually looks like the proof you approved.

What Parts of an Arcade Machine Can Be Branded?

More than most people assume. The main surfaces we work with:

Side panels

The largest visual surface on an upright cabinet — the two wide panels that face your guests as they approach. This is usually where the primary brand artwork or campaign visual goes.

Header / marquee

The panel at the top of the machine, visible from across the room. Works well for a logo, campaign headline, or a bold brand colour block.

Control panel overlay

The surface your players interact with directly. Can carry subtle branding, a campaign tagline, or just a clean brand-coloured finish.

Bezel and trim

The surrounding frame elements, which can be colour-matched to reinforce the overall brand palette rather than sitting in generic black.

The exact scope depends on the machine type and your brief. A cocktail table cabinet has a different panel layout to an upright cabinet or a racing simulator surround. We advise on what works best for each format as part of the artwork conversation. → See branded machine examples

When Does Branding an Arcade Machine Make Sense for a Corporate Event?

Not every corporate event needs a branded machine — and we’ll tell you honestly when it does and doesn’t add value. But for these contexts, it consistently earns its place:

Brand Activations

If the event exists to build or reinforce brand awareness, a custom-wrapped machine is one of the most cost-effective activations available. It creates dwell time (3–5 minutes per player, versus the 8–12 seconds average at a standard stand), a natural photo opportunity, and a brand interaction that guests associate with something enjoyable rather than something they were sold at.

Guests don’t feel like they’re being marketed to. They’re playing a game. The brand is just part of the experience — which is exactly how good activation is supposed to work.

Product Launches

A product launch has a specific identity to communicate: new campaign visuals, a product hero image, launch colours. A custom-branded machine can carry all of that — and because it’s a focal point that draws people in, it puts the campaign creative in front of guests repeatedly throughout the event without anyone having to hold a brochure in their face.

EOFY Parties and Corporate Functions

Even without an explicit brand activation goal, a custom-branded machine at a company party signals that the event was properly thought through. It reinforces the company identity, creates an obvious photo opportunity that employees actually share, and makes the entertainment feel like part of the event rather than hired in at the last minute.

Expo and Trade Show Stands

This is where branded arcade machines are most visibly effective. At a busy Melbourne exhibition floor — the MCEC, Melbourne Showgrounds, Crown Events — a custom-wrapped machine with your branding is visible from across the hall. It stops foot traffic, creates dwell time, and gives your team a natural conversation opener that doesn’t feel like a cold pitch.

Why In-House Branding Is a Different Proposition to Outsourced Print

Most arcade hire companies that offer branding send the job to an external print supplier. That’s not inherently a problem — but it creates variables that you’re absorbing as the client.

A separate supplier means a separate quote, a separate timeline, and a separate set of decisions made without full visibility of the machine they’re printing for. If anything changes — your artwork is revised, the print runs late, the colours shift in production — you’re coordinating between two parties to resolve it. The hire company may not even see the finished wrap before it turns up at your event.

Because we’re Melbourne’s only corporate-first arcade hire specialist with a dedicated in-house print team to match, that’s not how it works here. Our print team and our hire team operate together. The person who advises on the artwork brief knows the machine it’s going on. The person who installs it at your venue knows what it looked like in production. If something needs to change at any point in the process, it’s one conversation — not three.

That single-supplier model is one of the things that makes the corporate-first approach work in practice, not just on paper.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you brand any arcade machine, or only specific models?

Most of the machines in our hire fleet can be custom-branded. The wrap design is adapted to each specific cabinet format — upright arcade machines, cocktail tables, racing simulator surrounds, and others all have different panel layouts. We advise on which format works best for your brief and design the artwork accordingly.

How long does the branding process take?

We recommend four to six weeks lead time for custom-branded machines — enough time for artwork design, proofing, sign-off, and production without rushing any stage. For events with a firm date, earlier is always better. Contact us as soon as you have your event confirmed and we’ll map out the timeline.

Do I need to supply finished artwork, or can you design it?

We work from whatever you can provide. Finished artwork files are ideal, but a brand guide, logo files, and a brief on what you’re trying to achieve is enough to get started. Our print team handles the design and scaling for each panel. You’ll see a proof before anything goes to print.

Is branding included in the hire price, or is it a separate cost?

Custom branding is quoted as part of the overall hire — you get one clear figure that covers the machine, the full wrap production, delivery, setup, and collection. There’s no separate print invoice from a third-party supplier. Branding typically adds $300–$600 to the base hire depending on the scope of the wrap.

What happens to the branded wrap after the event?

The wrap is removed during pack-down. If you’d like to retain it — for a follow-up activation, a permanent office installation, or future use — let us know at the time of booking and we’ll factor that into how it’s produced and removed.
